SIP Broker service

SIP Broker service: accessing your Google Talk, MSN/Live Messenger or Yahoo! Messenger from PSTN

As a Google Talk (MSN/Live Messenger or Yahoo Messenger) user you might wish to be accessable from an ordinary or a mobile phone (i.e. from Public Switched Telephone Network) and that's what SIPBroker service is made for. There's a large number of PSTN numbers of gateways around the world you can use to dial in.
Before you start using the SIPBroker service, you have to know your SIPBroker numerical ID which is given out to any Google Talk user on our GTalk2VoIP gateway. The SIPBroker ID can be found on your personal page accessed by following MYPAGE command. SIPBroker ID always starts with * 0 1 8 sequence (including prepending asterisk).

Example:

Step 1. Send MYPAGE command to , and follow the link which will be displayed.

Step 2. Remember your SIPBroker ID, which is displayed in the top of the page. Let's say it is a sequence of:
* 0 1 8 2 3 4 5 6 .

Step 3. Choose a PSTN access number from the list on SIPBroker site. For example, you can use if you are located in London/UK.

Step 4. Dial PSTN access number as it is required in your location, like: 47.

Step 5. At the voice prompt, dial in your SIPBroker ID: * and wait for call setup to complete. Some PSTN gateways might want you to punch in the hash (#) key at the end of your ID, just do it as required.

At this point a call to your Google Talk is initiated. You can tell your friends how it is easy to access you to your Google Talk from any mobile or stationary phone number.
